Add an IP Printer
You Must Know the Printer IP and Model Number first.
Windows XP
1. Go to Start > Run. Type control printers
2. Click Add a Printer
3. Click Next
4. Select Local printer attached to the computer,
uncheck Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer,
and Click Next
5. Select Create a new port
and choose Standard TCP/IP Port from the Type of port drop down menu
6. Click Next
7. Type the IP address of the printer in the Printer Name or IP Address field
8. Click Next
If you get the Additional Port Information Required screen, the computer is
not able to communicate with the printer. Verify that the IP address is correct.
9. Click Finish
10. Select the correct Manufactuer and Printer Model. Click Next.
11. Give the printer a descriptive name that will help you identify the printer. Click Next
12. Click Next.
13. Click Finish
